The Friends of11May2013Gatineau TrailClleanULpGang Gatineau Park would like to express their sincere appreciation to the more than 50 volunteers that showed up last Saturday morning  (May 11) at the Visitor Centre of the Gatineau Park  to actively participate in the trail maintenance work bee organized by the Friends in close cooperation with the NCC. Despite the light rain, several teams of courageous and dedicated volunteers managed to clear off several trails – King Mountain, Pink Lake, Lauriault, 30 / 31 and 8 /17 and Wolf – of the Park network. Incidentally, the NCC re-opened the Wolf trail to hiking shortly following the work bee; it has been closed since last December.

The Friends of Gatineau Park would like to extend special thanks to Pierre-Olivier Dorego from the NCC, as well as his two assistants, Line and Jacob, and Mario Simard from the Friends, for having organized and managed this activity in a very successful way.
