The NCC and the Friends of Gatineau Park would like to sincerely thank all volunteers (between 40 to 50 for each event) that actively participated in the 2 Fall workbees that took place in the Gatineau Park (GP) trails on September 7 and October 5. Your involvement and efforts really made a difference in clearing off trails and getting them ready for the upcoming winter season.
Here is a summary of the trails that were worked on and re-opened during these workbees.
September 7 – Trail number 11, 18, 19, 22, 32 and 34 were cleared
October 5 – Trail 20, 1 (black), 2, 40, 61 and 62 were completely cleared and some work was done on the following trails: 1 (between 24 and McKinstry) and snowshoe trails 60, 70, 71, 72, 73 and 74.
Your remarkable efforts are really appreciated in helping making the Gatineau Park the most popular place in the region for practicing outdoor activities all year around.
In ending, on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Mario Simard from the Friends and Line Lapierre and Pierre-Olivier Dorego from the NCC for planning, organizing and conducting these 2 activities in a very professional manner.
Again, many thanks to all for making this happen!
