The Friends of Gatineau Park are encouraging you to actively participate in the events organized by the NCC in partnership with local communities or groups interested in the park during the Fall Rhapsody in the Gatineau Park. It will provide visitors a perfect opportunity to enjoy and explore different areas of the Gatineau Park rather than wasting time driving on busy parkways and facing full parking lots in lower portions of the Park.
It is kicking off on Sunday, September 28, in the Meech Creek Valley and surroundings with the unveiling of new interpretation panels followed by a weekend of demos and guided hikes in the Philippe Lake sector on October 4 & 5. Then, the Pontiac Country Fair is taking place during the Thanksgiving weekend (October 11 to 13) as well as guided interpretations tours on the Luskville Falls Trail. The last weekend (October 18 & 19) of the Fall Rhapsody will conclude by activities celebrating the Algonquin culture and Algonquin summer (Anishinabe Nibin) at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre.
