You don’t need to have oversized feet or large tufts of fur between your toes to float over the snow like a hare or lynx – you can join the Friends of Gatineau Park for our very popular Snowshoe Under the Stars program on Friday evenings in January and February 2015. We will show you how easy it can be to get around in the snow, and have fun doing it.
Come along for an evening snowshoe hike by starlight or moonlight, followed by a hot chocolate in the Gatineau Park Sugarbush shack next to the Visitor Centre. Dress warmly, wear comfortable preferably flat sole boots, and bring a headlamp or flashlight. You can bring your own snowshoes or rent some for the evening ($5 for adults and free for children).
