Introduction to Birdwatching – June 27, 2015

Have you always wished to learn about, appreciate and understand birdlife?   Register now to participate in this fun, new workshop offered by the Friends of Gatineau Park.

Robert Alvo, an expert ornithologist, will guide you into the world of birdwatching and enable you to :

  • Know what equipment to invest in

  • Plan your outings

  • Learn where the best birdwatching spots are within the Gatineau park and elsewhere in the region

  • Find what resources are available for amateur birdwatchers

  • Observe while respecting the environment

The workshop includes 2 parts of one hour and an half each, an indoor presentation and a hike with pratical exercises outdoors.

Clothing and footwear suitable for trail use and appropriate to the weather.

This activity is recommended for adults and children over 10 years old. Reservations are required.

  • Cost : Members – Adults, $ 12; Seniors (60 years and older) / Students (13 years and older), $ 10. Non-members – Adults, $ 15; Seniors (60 years and older) / Students (13 years and older), $ 12. Children (10 to 12 years old), $ 5.

The funds raised will help support Friends of Gatineau Park activities.
